Race for Muscular Dystrophy
The Labor Day Classic comprises a 5K road race with the purpose of funding research for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Established in 2009, the event’s goal is to be an enjoyable morning for runners, walkers, volunteers and spectators while encouraging fund raising and raising awareness for Duchenne MD. What better way to wind up the summer and the Labor Day weekend than to be part of an event that celebrates exercise and physical activity in an effort to support those who struggle with basic physical tasks.
Race directors Joel Croteau and Brian Denger have mapped out a pleasant course through a quiet neighborhood with slightly rolling streets that features a fast downhill last half mile onto the Northern York County YMCA campus.
Join us in this event where you can help make a difference for boys, young men and their families living with Duchenne while exercising your heart, the muscle we equate with compassion and caring!
